Why we built this.

Harland was the maiden name of our founder's grandmother. It comes from combining Hare and Land — a Land of Hares 🐇. We thought it was a fitting name, because we're obsessed with speed. Getting you online fast. Getting leads to your phone fast. Helping you answer a customer before your competitor picks up. Everything Harland does is built to move quickly, and naming the company after her felt right.

We started this business because we know how hard it is to start a business. Being your own boss means taking on real risk, and that's daunting — daunting enough that a lot of great tradespeople never make the jump. We wanted to build something that removes a few of those obstacles: a professional website, the tools to actually run the business, and leads coming in from day one, so you're not starting from zero. That's the mission. Turning great employees into self-sufficient business owners, running on technology that works as hard as they do.

Harland is an AI-first company, but we want to be clear about what that means. It doesn't mean another complicated tool to learn. It means the complicated parts of running your business get handled automatically, quietly, in the background, while you do the work. Everyone deserves access to tools like that, and we'll do whatever it takes to make sure you have the best.
